Israel was re-established 60 years ago on the soil of the Jewish homeland, Eretz Israel. Today Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, forced into a situation of war against terror. Israel feels responsibility for all its citizens, independently of their religious backgrounds, as well for world Jewry. Israel is strong enough to defend itself and all the Jews who are in danger in the diaspora.

Hungary and Croatia were "partner lands" of the same Kingdom for more than 800 years. Hungarians and Croats share a collective memory of their common history which was mainly a positive experience. With some exceptional episodes of conflicts, we can say that Croatia and Hungary have much more to share in their collective historic memory than other Central and Eastern European nations. The positive image of each-other certainly lead to a strong political and economic partnership in the late 20th, early 21th century. Hungary was one of the first European states that recognized and actively helped Croatian independence after Yugoslavia collapsed. Former Hungarian PM Antall József and his government pro-actively helped Croatia's cause not only in the international arena but also through Hungary's strong involvement in strengthening Croatia's military potential against Yugoslav (Serbian) aggression. Hungary's friendly support contributed to further development of strategic partnership with Croatia based on historic alliance and sympathy. My video is a contribution to this alliance. Summary of Croatian-Hungarian history: ------------------------------------------------------ The Croats arrived in what is today Croatia in the early 7th century. They organized into two dukedoms; the duchy of Pannonian Croatia in the north and the duchy of Littoral Croatia in the south. Duke Tomislav of Littoral Croatia was one of the most prominent members of the House of Trpimirović. He united ...

Jerusalem is Israel's eternal capital city and the largest urban settlement in the country with a population of 747600 residents, over an area of 125.1 square kilometers (48.3 sq mi). The city has a history that goes back to the 4th millennium BCE, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Jerusalem has been the holiest city in Judaism and the spiritual center of the Jewish people since the 10th century BCE, contains a number of significant ancient Christian sites, and is considered the third-holiest city in Islam. Despite having an area of only 0.9 square kilometer (0.35 square mile), the Old City is home to sites of key religious importance, among them the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The old walled city (which is only a small area within the city's boundaries) is a World Heritage site, has been traditionally divided into four quarters, although the names used today — the Armenian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Quarters — were introduced in the early 19th century. The Old City was nominated for inclusion on the List of World Heritage Sites. In the course of its history, Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. Between 1948 and 67 East Jerusalem was under Jordanian occupation. The entire Jewish quarter in the Old City, including synagogues were destroyed and the ancient Jewish cemetery on Mt. of the Olives desecrated ...

Kiev, one of Europe's oldest cities, on the crossroad of Ukrainian and Russian culture. Beautiful architecture, lots of green, interesting present. Kiev is a bilingual metropolis and the capital city of Ukraine. Before 1991 it was the 3d largest city in the former USSR. Both Ukrainian and Russian are commonly spoken in the city, with Russian being more widely used despite the fact that Ukrainian is claimed as their native language by almost three times as many residents as those who claim Russian. According to a 2006 survey, Ukrainian is used at home by 23% of Kievans, as 52% use Russian and 24% switch between both. The anthem of Soviet Ukraine (as a short intro) is followed by the national anthem of the independent Republic. The final song is a popular Ukrainian hit.

In memoriam of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the first tentative to create an union of people based upon prosperity and common interests. 1. The Austro-Hungarian Empire, also known as AustriaHungary, the Dual Monarchy or "KuK Monarchy" or Dual State, was a dual-monarchic union in Central Europe from 1867 to 1918, dissolved at the end of World War I. The dual monarchy was the successor to the Austrian Empire (18041867) on the same territory, originating in the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 between the ruling Habsburg dynasty and the Hungarians. As a multi-national empire and great power in an era of national awakening, it found its political life dominated by disputes among the eleven principal national groups. The Habsburg dynasty ruled as Emperors of Austria over the western and northern half of the country and as Kings of Hungary and Croatia over the Kingdom of Hungary-Croatia which enjoyed self-government and representation in joint affairs (principally foreign relations and defense). The Monarchy bore the full name internationally of "The Kingdoms and Lands Represented in the Imperial Council and the Lands of the Crown of St. Stephen". 2. The capital of the state was Vienna. The Austro-Hungarian Empire was geographically the second largest country in Europe after the Russian Empire, and the third most populous (after both Russia and the German Empire). Today, the territory it covered has a population of about 69 million. 3. Names of the Empire in languages ...

Brazil, one of the largest countries on our planet. It's a beautiful place to visit and a big nation to discover. Once it was a Portuguese colony, later an independent monarchy, called as Brazilian Empire. Today it's a federative state with many differences and social problems. Brazilian people are beautiful and happy: life is like a samba, we should enjoy it!
