Crock pot recipes are always a hit. This white chicken chili recipe is a great way to prepare chicken in a crock pot. It's also super for tailgating or a potluck. Following are the ingredients you will need to prepare this crock pot recipe. We are using a Rival crock pot, but any brand will do. To make a crock pot beef or pork crock pot recipe, just substitute those meats (cooked and shredded) for chicken in this recipe. Chicken Chile Verde - Crock Pot Recipes 2 (9.75 ounce) cans shredded chicken 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen corn 2 (28 oz.) cans green enchilada sauce 1 (15 oz.) can Northern white beans 4 finely chopped garlic cloves 1 small onion, finely chopped 7 ounces Embasa brand salsa verde 7 ounces diced green chiles 1 handful fresh cilantro leaves, washed and chopped Chef Tip: Soak cilantro in a bowl of water first to remove dirt and sediment. Preheat a pan with 2 tablespoons oil. Next add and saute onion, cilantro and garlic about 2 minutes. Add chicken and mix well. Cook another minute. Coat Crock Pot with cooking spray. Add the rest of the ingredients to the crock pot, including the chicken mixture. Stir well. Set on high and cook about four hours. Soften tortillas on cooktop and fill with chile verde mixture. Top with sour cream, shredded cheese and homemade salsa.

It is made in such a way as to make it the lowest fat version of soup that has meat in it. Ingredients: 2 pounds lean beef cubes, trimmed of fat (I used 1 pound of eye of round steak and 1 pound of top sirloin steak.) 1 to 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon salt 3 quarts (12 cups water) 3 cups tomato juice 2/3 of an 8-oz. can tomato sauce 3 bay leaves 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 onion, chopped 3 cups mixed vegetables (I used a 16-oz. package of frozen vegetable soup starter. If you cannot find this, just use frozen mixed vegetables, or drained Veg-all, or freshly chopped vegetables of your choice.) 1 teaspoon chili powder 6 additional cups water saltine crackers, for serving (I used fat-free saltine crackers.) Chop 2 pounds of lean beef into cubes. (I prefer to use steak, because it is less fatty than stew meat.) Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil in a deep skillet. Brown the beef cubes in the oil, until there is no pink on the outside. Pour 3 quarts (12 cups) water into a large pot. Add 1 tablespoon of salt, and then add the browned beef cubes. Cook, uncovered, over low heat for about 3 hours. Most of the liquid will evaporate or be absorbed by the meat. The key to this tortellini soup is the Parmesan cheese rind I used to flavor the store bought broth. Dropped in the chicken stock to boil, it adds a great flavor and compliments the chicken tortellini soup. Tortellini Soup Recipe 1 Qt Chicken Stock more if youre cooking for a crowd Clove of Garlic Pepper to taste Parmesan Cheese Rind 19 oz. Cheese Tortellini 8 oz. of Spinach Shredded Parmesan cheese Pour chicken stock to large soup pot. Add a clove of garlic and cheese rind. Bring stock to a boil. When the chicken stock comes to a boil, add the cheese tortellini and let it boil until it floats about 3 minutes. Turn off the heat to the soup. Remove the cheese rind. Stir in handfuls of fresh spinach. Serve the tortellini soup in a large bowl with a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese.

This wonderful tomato soup recipe comes from the Bistro Jeanty restaurant in Yountville, California. It's one of many fantastic restaurant recipes in Napa Valley. You will need 2 1/2 lbs ripe/juicy tomatoes, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 pound of onion, 6 garlic cloves, 1/4 c of tomato paste, 1 bay leaf, 1/2 Tb. pepper corns, 1 tsp. thyme, 4 cups heavy cream, 1 tbsp butter. Salt to taste, 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1 lb. puff pastry, 1 egg. Procedure: Melt the ½ cup butter in a large stockpot over medium-low heat. Add the onions, garlic, thyme, bay leaf and peppercorns; cover and cook for about 5 minutes. Do not let the onions color. Add tomato paste and lightly "toast" the tomato paste to cook out the raw flavor the add tomatoes, and water if needed. Simmer over low heat for 30-40 minutes, until the tomatoes and onions are very soft and broken down. Puree by passing through a food mill. A food mill works best however you may use a blender in batches or a handheld immersion blender until finished, the strain. Return the soup o the pot. Add the cream, salt, white pepper and remaining butter to taste. Bring soup to a simmer then remove from heat. Allow the soup to cool for two hours or overnight - in the refrigerator. Divide the soup among six 8-ounce soup cups or bowls. Roll out the puff pastry to 1/4 inch. Cut into 6 rounds slightly larger than your cups. Paint the dough with the egg wash and turn the circles, egg wash side down, over the tops of the cups, pulling lightly on the sides ...
